Application 3 - Cellular Biomechanics

Cells are the basic units of life. To assess the impact of drugs and pathological conditions on the mechanical behavior of cells, it is necessary to study how mechanical signals regulate cell migration, proliferation, differentiation, and metastasis. Using the Revealer Micro-PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) technology, the rapid morphological changes and movements of cells in a microfluidic environment under fluid shear stress and substrate stretching forces can be recorded, and the microflow field around the cells can be measured.
